This is the 80 min version fo the show, part of which i featured on the Dancecast on Sunday. I am a massive fan of Rex The Dog, as many of you know, but I have never had the chance to see him live. The only snippet of any mixing ive heard is the Minimix from the Annie Mac show on Radio One several years ago. When I heard that at the time, I was hooked on the electronic canine.
I would recommend getting the album / E.P. “The Rex The Dog Story” which as the name suggests is a collection of the best releases from the past 5 or so years. Some of the early single releases were very ‘touch-n-go’, but the track “Frequency” was almost like the make and break of the electro producer.
You will love the KORG and Casio sounds, a bit like Kraftwerk, but more exciting..!
