As i continue to delve deeper into the seemingly endless chasm of amazing music on Soundcloud I have come across some real gems that I think are worth giving a shout out…
Circuit – “I Want Drop”

Came across this extremely talented producer by pure chance.. had a feeling the name “circuit” meant wires…electronics….mad sounds… and i wasn’t far off. Andrew Reid aspires to reach a level of production that Deadmau5 has shown in the past two years… I would be of the opinion however that this is far more entertaining that your average Deadmau5 dud…
Maybe it’s the lack of restraint and the variance of sounds.. or maybe it was simply the huge drop at the start of this track that made me sit up and take notice. I am usually not swayed easily by this style but I am thoroughly enjoying this guys tunes… and perhaps you will too if you give it a go.

Block 45 – “Mouth of Mischief”

One of the amazing things about Soundcloud is how it makes the world such a small place. This time last night I was completely unaware of the brilliance of Block 45. Within 30 mins I had heard what they had to offer on Soundcloud.. and was loving it muchly! I send them a nice little mail asking very nicely for a couple of tracks for the next show… then spend a little more time having a bit of a listen… then I slept… which was nice…
Next morning.. I had received a mail from Japan – I reply… and within 20 mins I have downloaded two absolute gems from Block 45… and i didn’t even have to get out of bed… Amazing.. and relaxing!
Their fresh approach to pop music… and how they apply it to electronic production.. is a real eye opener. It seems anything goes with Block 45 – There is of course the usual components – catchy lyrics nice melodies and all-round pop like happiness and fun.. but then you throw in rich synth bass that will blow your brains out… what sounds like monk chants… ridiculous deconstruction of the track itself… anything really that they want…. they will do… and your left wondering why you didn’t think of it first!
